In the colder seasons, the air tends to be drier, and central heating doesn’t help either, which is why we often lean into richer moisturisers and hydrating serums. But when summer rolls in, there's usually more moisture in the air, meaning skin may not feel as parched. So, if your skin is naturally on the balanced or oilier side, you might find that a lightweight moisturiser alone does the job - no need to layer up so much.
Hydration serums still have their place - especially if you’re spending time in the sun, travelling, or sitting in air-conditioned environments - but you might not need them every day.
